Paromita  ChatterjeeParomita Chaterjee as an actor has essayed different kinds of roles. The Hindi theatre group Yatri, which is run by Om Katare, has largely shaped her experience as a theatre artiste.

In her two years with Yatri, she has done seven plays such as CHHOO MANTAR, DILLI UNCHA SUNTI HAI, ZARA INSE MILEYE and others. Her roles in RANI KI KAHANI and DILLI UNCHA SUNTI HAI have received attention from the press.

She has also done teleserials such as “Simply Shekhar” (Zee TV) and “Chote Miyan, Bade Miyan” (Sab TV). Having done over 90 shows all over India as a Yatri actor, Paromita now is keen to get a role in either a mainstream or a crossover film, which has a small budget. 

She feels that cinema too will aid her creative instincts and that she will be able to further showcase her abilities as an actor.

In 2005, she joined CNN-IBN (a JV between CNN and GBN) as Business Editor, where she spearheaded several award winning shows 

She joined ET Now the business channel from the Times Television Network as Senior Consultant and Editor in 2009.

Paromita holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Masters in Mass Communication with specialisation in Film and Television production
