    Harshad Chopra is an Indian television actor. He is mainly recognized for his role of Prem Juneja in Balaji series Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. After that he has worked in many popular daily soaps like Tere Liye, Dharampatni, Dil Se Di Dua-Saubhagyavati and many more. He was last seen in the series Humsafars on Sony TV.

    Biography

    Harshad chopra was born on 17 May 1983 in Gondia district, Maharashtra. He came from a Marwari Jain family and was shifted to Pune after completion of his 12th exams. He has a younger sister. His parents never permitted him to be an actor so they enrolled him for an Engineering degree in Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pune. After completing his studies, he went to Bombay and successfully auditioned for Zee TV's Mamta. Harshad is a self-confessed Salman Khan fan and idolizes Salman. He has even seen some of his films as many as 50 times. Not only his films, but Harshad also looks up to Salman for fitness inspiration.

    Career

    Harshad has started his acting career with Zee TV serial Mamta, followed by Left Right Left and Amber Dhara. He has won many awards in the short span of career like Star Parivaar Awards for Favourite Naya Sadasya(Male) as Prem in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), Star Parivaar Awards for Favourite Jodi along with Additi Gupta as Heer-Prem in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2009), Indian Telly Awards for Best actor as Anurag Ganguly in Tere Liye (2010).

    About the experience Harshad said, "I believe it has been rather short but a sweet journey with Humsafars. It has been emotional and action packed at times, and sometimes both frustrating and challenging too. It has been a great journey. I enjoyed playing Sahir Azeem Choudhary. The show gave me a lot of scope to perform as an actor."
